This Privacy Policy explains how HMK Tools (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website (hmktools.com) and the HMK Tools add-ins for Autodesk Revit (the “Software”). 1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and (optionally) company name, provided when you create an account.
- License data — your license key, trial/expiry status, and a machine identifier and machine name used to bind a license to a single computer.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-friendly website analytics (page views, country, device type) collected without cookies. We do not track you across other sites.
- Messages — any information you send us through the contact form or by email.
The Software runs locally inside Revit. We do not collect or upload your Revit models or project files.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and license.
- To validate your license and enforce the one-machine-per-license limit.
- To send service emails (account confirmation, your license key, password resets, and important notices).
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To understand aggregate website usage and improve our product.
3. Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Software and license), on the basis of your consent (where applicable), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing our service.
4. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (account & license storage).
- Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics.
- Zoho Mail — sending and receiving email.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and license data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your login is removed; we may retain a deactivated license record for legal, accounting, and anti-abuse purposes.
6. Security
Access to our systems is restricted and passwords are stored hashed. Licensing uses a secure server check. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit your profile or delete your account from your dashboard, or contact us at info@hmktools.com.
8. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. Our analytics are cookieless. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
9. Children
HMK Tools is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
